Jaipur, Aug 26 (PTI) Rajasthan Agriculture Minister Kirodi Lal Meena tested positive for swine flu and has been admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Sawai Man Singh Hospital, officials said on Wednesday.

Meena took a test for swine flu a few days ago and was admitted to the hospital for further treatment after the report came positive, they said. He was admitted to the ICU late Tuesday night.

Doctors have advised the minister not to meet visitors or family members in view of the infection.

SMS Medical College Principal Dr Deepak Maheshwari said Meena was being treated as per the swine flu protocol.

Necessary tests are being conducted and a team constituted under the supervision of Head of the Medicine Department Dr Mahendra Agrawal is monitoring his condition, he said. PTI SDA SKY SKY

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
