Jaipur, Jun 6 (PTI) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Saturday interacted with villagers during a morning walk in Khari Ka Lamba village, Bhilwara district, after an overnight stay there.

Sharma met elderly residents, including 107-year-old Kumkum Devi and 102-year-old Omkar Teli, and enquired about their health and daily lives.

The chief minister also visited houses in the village, talked to residents, distributed chocolates to children and offered prayers at local temples.

He later joined local youths in a yoga session near Phoolsagar pond and planted a tree, stressing the importance of environmental conservation.

Holding discussions with villagers over tea, Sharma reviewed local development needs and announced the upgradation of the village sub-health centre into a primary health centre and development of a sports ground.

Orders were issued on Saturday for the establishment of a new agriculture supervisor headquarters, creation of an agriculture supervisor post and opening of science (biology) and agriculture streams at the government senior secondary school, following announcements made by Sharma during a Gram Vikas Chaupal held in the village on Friday night.

Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa, local legislators and other public representatives were also present during the programme. PTI SDA SMV SMV AMJ AMJ
