New Delhi, May 13 (PTI) The city woke up to a cloudy morning on Wednesday, with the weather office predicting thunderstorm and rain later in the day.

The minimum temperature settled at 26.4 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season’s normal, while the maximum is expected to settle around 39 degrees Celsius.

Station-wise data showed variations in the minimum temperature across the city. Safdarjung recorded a minimum of 26.4 degrees Celsius, 1.0 degrees above normal, while Palam registered 24.6 degrees Celsius, 0.8 degrees below normal.

Lodhi Road recorded 26.8 degrees Celsius, 2.4 degrees above normal, Ridge logged 23.2 degrees Celsius, 0.5 degrees below normal, and Ayanagar recorded 25.4 degrees Celsius, 1.8 degrees above normal.

Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 148 in the ‘moderate’ category.

As per CPCB standards, an AQI of 0-50 is considered ‘good’, 51-100 ‘satisfactory’, 101-200 ‘moderate’, 201-300 ‘poor’, 301-400 ‘very poor’, and 401-500 ‘severe’. PTI SGV DV DV
