Jaipur, May 4 (PTI) Several parts of Rajasthan witnessed rain and dust storms under the influence of a western disturbance, bringing some respite from the intense heat, the Meteorological Centre in Jaipur said on Monday.

It said light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds was recorded at isolated places across the state in the last 24 hours.

Srimadhopur in Sikar district recorded the highest rainfall of 48 mm during this period.

The weather activity brought down maximum temperatures in most parts of the state, with the mercury hovering between 39 and 41 degrees Celsius. PTI AG DIV DIV
