Mohali, Jun 15 (PTI) The Punjab Youth Congress on Monday held a protest against the BJP-led government at the Centre over the issue of alleged NEET paper leak.
The protest march was held at Gurdwara Sri Amb Sahib here, under the leadership of Indian Youth Congress national president Uday Bhanu Chib.
The agitation witnessed the presence of Punjab Congress chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, Punjab Youth Congress in-charge Smruti Ranjan Lenka, along with Punjab Youth Congress office bearers, district presidents, and workers.
Addressing a gathering, Warring said that repeated paper leaks and examination irregularities under the central government have created uncertainty among the youth.
He said that students who dedicate years of hardwork deserve a fair and transparent examination system, not injustice due to government failures.
Indian Youth Congress president Chib said that the NEET paper leak is not just an irregularity in an examination “but a direct attack on the dreams, hardwork and future of lakhs of students across the country”.
He alleged that repeated incidents of paper leaks and irregularities in recruitment processes have destroyed the trust of students in the examination system.
The youth of the country are already struggling due to unemployment, and such incidents are adding to their frustration and insecurity, he said.
Chib demanded a fair, independent and time-bound investigation into the NEET paper leak matter and strict punishment for all those involved.
He said that the Indian Youth Congress will continue to raise the voice of students and fight for their rights until justice is delivered.
Punjab Youth Congress in-charge Lenka said that the future of the nation depends on its youth, and injustice with hardworking students will never be tolerated.
The Youth Congress will continue its struggle from the streets to every platform to protect the rights of students, said Lenka. PTI CHS KVK KVK
