President Murmu greets people of Israel on Independence Day

New Delhi, Apr 22 (PTI) President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday greeted her Israeli counterpart Isaac Herzog and people of his country on their Independence Day, and said both the countries’ special strategic partnership continues to grow stronger, reflecting the shared commitment to peace, innovation and mutual prosperity.

Israel celebrates its Independence Day as per the Hebrew calendar. It had declared Independence on May 14, 1948.

“On the joyous occasion of the 78th anniversary of Israel’s Independence, I extend heartfelt best wishes to H.E. @Isaac_Herzog and the people of Israel. The India-Israel Special Strategic Partnership continues to grow stronger, reflecting the deep friendship and shared commitment of our two nations to peace, innovation and mutual prosperity,” Murmu said in a post on X.
