Thane, June 24 (PTI) A portion of the road caved in near Mumbra bypass in Thane on Wednesday evening, causing a visible fracture along the outer edge of the thoroughfare, officials said.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
The Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) received an alert regarding the incident at 7:28 PM, said Yasin Tadvi, who heads RDMC.
“We received information at around 7:28 PM that a section of the road had caved in on the Mumbra bypass. A visual assessment confirms that a specific portion of the road has collapsed downward, leaving a significant crack along its outer perimeter. Fortunately, no one was harmed or injured at the site,” he said. PTI COR NSK
