New Delhi, Sep 26 (PTI) An exhibition tracing former prime minister Manmohan Singh’s distinguished career as an economist, scholar and a statesman was inaugurated on Saturday at the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya on his 94th birth anniversary, officials said.
The curated exhibition titled ‘Dr Manmohan Singh: From Scholarship to Pubic Service’ celebrates his legacy, contributions and public journey, the Prime Ministers’ Museum and Library (PMML) said.
The exhibition traces Singh’s distinguished career as an economist, scholar and statesman. It highlights his significant contributions across academia, key economic institutions, the Ministry of Finance and the highest office of the country, the PMML said in a statement.
A central focus of the exhibition is Singh’s pivotal role in shaping India’s economic policies and reforms, promoting inclusive development, strengthening institutions and advancing India’s engagement with the international community, it said.
The exhibition also showcases his academic achievements and contributions to public institutions, while highlighting his tenure as a finance minister and the prime minister of India. Together, these facets offer visitors an insight into Manmohan Singh’s enduring legacy in India’s economic and institutional history, the officials said.
