Bhubaneswar, Oct 17 (PTI) President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are likely to visit Odisha separately in the last week of this month, official sources said.

While Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to visit Odisha for the inauguration of the Reserve Bank’s greenfield data centre and training institute in Khurda district on October 25, President Murmu will be on a two-day tour of the state from October 28, they said.

A state-level preparatory meeting is being held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anu Garg here to make plans for smooth conduct of the visits.

According to President Murmu’s tentative itinerary, she will arrive in the state on October 28 and travel from the Dandabose Airstrip in Rairangpur to the Maa Kichakeshwari Temple at Bahalda. She is also expected to visit the Laxmi Mandap at Mahuldiha and her residence in Rairangpur.

Sources said both the prime minister’s and the president’s visits are expected to include multiple official programmes. PTI AAM AAM NSD

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
