New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various railway projects Monday via video conferencing, according to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office.

The inauguration of the new Jammu Railway Division is a key move to bolster connectivity in the region. The division will encompass 742.1 kilometers of track, including the Pathankot – Jammu – Udhampur – Srinagar – Baramulla, Bhogpur Sirwal – Pathankot, Batala – Pathankot, and Pathankot to Joginder Nagar sections. This initiative aims to fulfill a long-standing demand of the people, improve connectivity to other parts of India, and generate employment opportunities. It is expected to contribute to the overall socio-economic development of Jammu and Kashmir and surrounding regions by fostering tourism and infrastructure development.

In Telangana, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Charlapalli New Terminal Station in the Medchal-Malkajgiri District. Constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 413 crore, the new terminal will serve as a second entry point for the city, easing congestion at existing coaching terminals in Secunderabad, Hyderabad, and Kacheguda.  This environmentally friendly terminal with good passenger amenities will ease congestion at existing city coaching terminals.
