New Delhi: Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on his visit to Jodhpur addressed the closing ceremony of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the Rajasthan High Court here today. He also inaugurated the Rajasthan High Court Museum, a PIB release stated.
“Judiciary has consistently played the moral responsibility of being vigilant and active on national issues”, the Prime Minister said in his speech. “It is very important that simple, accessible, and easy justice is guaranteed for everyone in Viksit Bharat,” he added.
Reflecting on the efforts of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel to unite together more than 500 states, and the establishment of the Rajasthan HC, the Prime Minister pointed out that “the various princely states of Rajasthan such as Jaipur, Udaipur and Kota had their own high courts which were integrated to bring the Rajasthan High Court into existence,” the release added.
Calling national unity a foundational stone of India’s judicial system, PM Modi said that “hundreds of colonial laws” have been repealed owing to their irrelevancy. “Today, India’s dreams are big and the citizen’s aspirations higher,” he added.
