PM expresses grief over loss of lives due to wall collapse in Maharashtra

New Delhi, May 12 (PTI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday expressed grief over the loss of lives due to the collapse of a wall in Maharashtra’s Sangli and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Six devotees were killed and 12 to 14 others injured after a wall and tin sheets on the premises of a temple collapsed following strong winds and heavy rains in Maharashtra’s Sangli district on Tuesday evening.

“Deeply pained to hear the loss of lives due to the collapse of a wall in Sangli, Maharashtra. My thoughts are with the bereaved families in this sad hour. May the injured recover at the earliest,” the prime minister said in a post on X. PTI ACB NB NB
