New Delhi: Paradip Port Authority (PPA) has crossed its previous record of handling 39.25 million metric tons of cargo during the first 100 days of the current fiscal year 2024-25. The total cargo handled by the port authority was 41.12 million metric tons, an increase of 4.78 percent compared to the previous fiscal year, a PIB press release stated.
The achievement was achieved under the leadership of Union Minister for Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal.
PPA Chairman P.L. Haranadh expressed his gratitude to the Minister, crediting him with providing unwavering support and strategic direction.
