New Delhi, Apr 15 (PTI) More than 12 lakh households have successfully availed the self-enumeration facility for the Census 2027 first phase — houselisting and housing census over the last 15 days, the Centre in a statement said.
With the 15-day exercise concluded, a month-long field operation for the houselisting and housing Census will now begin from Thursday in eight states and Union Territories, it said.

Households that did not opt for self-enumeration will be covered during the physical house-to-house visit by enumerators.
