Shimla, Aug 27 (PTI) A 42-year-old man died after being allegedly beaten during a dispute in Himachal Pradesh’s Bilaspur district, officials said on Thursday.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening in the Shahtalai area when Anoop Kumar (44), a resident of Malangan village, and Dharmendra Kumar, a resident of Sangaswin village, got into an argument that soon turned violent, police said.
Anoop allegedly assaulted Dharmendra, leaving him critically injured. Dharmendra was rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC), Berthin, for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Following the incident, a police team reached the spot, arrested Anoop and inspected the crime scene. A team of forensic experts also visited the site on Thursday, examined the area and collected evidence.
Superintendent of Police (SP), Bilaspur, Abhishek Dhiman confirmed the incident and said a case has been registered. Further investigation is underway. PTI COR NB NB
