Odisha CM dismisses doctor from govt service over corruption

Bhubaneswar, Aug 12 (PTI) Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday dismissed a doctor from government service after he was convicted in a corruption case.

In a statement, the CMO said that, continuing the state government’s tough stand against corruption, the chief minister has dismissed Dr Patitapaban Barik, former Medical Officer of Gurundia CHC, Sundergarh district. Barik is currently working at Gurundi CHC, Gajapati district.

It said that Barik was found guilty of corruption charges while working in Gurundia, Sundargarh district. For this, the chief minister has dismissed the concerned Dr Barik from government service, the statement said.

The chief minister has directed all levels of administration to adopt a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. PTI AAM AAM RG
