Bhubaneswar, Apr 16 (PTI) Three persons have been arrested for allegedly raping a girl at a hotel in Odisha’s Puri in November last year, police said on Thursday.
The accused, hailing from Binjharpur area of Jajpur, were absconding after the incident, they said.
“Three of them were arrested from Jajpur while efforts are on to nab the other accused,” a police officer said.
A case was registered by the girl’s family at Cantonment police station in Cuttack city in November last year, he said.
One of the accused, who was known to the Class-12 girl through social media, allegedly took her to Puri along with three of his friends, the officer said.
They allegedly served her food laced with intoxicants at the hotel and then “raped” the girl, he said.
