Narsinghpur (MP), Jun 27 (PTI) An unidentified person murdered a 23-year-old trainee nurse amid onlookers in a hospital in Madhya Pradesh’s Narsinghpur district on Friday and fled from the spot, officials said.

The accused slit the throat of Sandhya Choudhary with a knife and all efforts are on to nab the accused, said Kotwali police station in charge Gaurav Ghate.

“The city has been cordoned off to nab the person. The motive behind the crime has not been ascertained,” Ghate told reporters.

District hospital civil surgeon Dr GC Chaurasia said he was in his office when he heard shouts of people and saw commotion around.

“We found our hospital’s trainee nurse Sandhya lying motionless in a pool of blood. Her throat had been slit,” Chaurasia said.

A murder case has been registered and further probe is underway, Ghate said. PTI COR MAS BNM
