Shimla, Jul 24 (PTI) A seven-month-old child on oxygen support stuck following a landslide on Chamba-Bharmour national highway was rescued by a team of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).
The NHAI patrolling team in Himachal Pradesh’s Chamba swung into action and shifted the ailing child and his family safely to a hospital in a patrolling vehicle for immediate medical treatment on Thursday, an official said on Friday.
Bharmour MLA Janak Raj, also a neurosurgeon, congratulated the NHAI team for risking their lives to save the child.
Heavy rains since Friday morning in Chamba district triggered landslides at numerous places, blocking roads but NHAI teams have been working round-the-clock to restore the roads and ensure the safety of people. PTI BPL SKY SKY
