Vijayawada, Sep 29 (PTI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday said the next 20 years would be crucial for India’s development and called for revolutionary reforms in the country’s systems and institutions.
Addressing the southern regional workshop of ‘Mission Karmayogi’ in Vijayawada, the Chief Minister said emerging technologies such as AI would create significant prospects for the youth and the people of this country.
“The next 20 years are crucial for India’s development, requiring revolutionary reforms in our systems and institutions,” said the CM.
After inaugurating the workshop aimed at capacity building among government employees and enhancing their administrative skills, Naidu cited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rise from a tea seller to the country’s top elected office as an example of capacity building.”
According to the CM, PM Modi started ‘iGOT – Mission Karmayogi’ with the ambition of enabling people to make use of immense opportunities available in India.
Through capacity building commission, he said online training is available for enhancing capabilities with iGOT – Mission Karmayogi and quality training will be provided for state level to grassroots level officers.
Naidu said India had “equal opportunities and resources”, but lagged behind China in certain areas and called for introspection.
Despite changes in governments, Naidu said everybody should strive to keep India at the forefront globally.
Government employees from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Keralam, Tamil Nadu, Odisha and Union Territory Puducherry are attending the workshop, said an official press release earlier.
“The two-day workshop aims to enhance the administrative capabilities of government employees,” it said.
During the workshop, policies being implemented in various states will be showcased, among others. PTI STH ROH
