New Congress MLAs from Tamil Nadu meet Kharge, Rahul

New Delhi, May 14 (PTI) Newly-elected Congress MLAs from Tamil Nadu separately met party president Mallikarjun Kharge and former party chief Rahul Gandhi here on Thursday.

Later, the newly-elected Congress MLAs from West Bengal also met Rahul Gandhi at the 10, Janpath residence of Sonia Gandhi.

After their meeting with Kharge at the Indira Bhawan, the party president wished the MLAs from Tamil Nadu success in the new government in the southern state.

“This time, Tamil Nadu has stood for change and aspirations. @INCTamilNadu MLAs met me and we discussed aspects of strengthening the party in the state.

“Wishing the new government success in fulfilling the dreams of the people,” Kharge said in a post on X while sharing a picture with the legislators.

The Congress is now part of an alliance with Vijay’s TVK and will be part of the government in Tamil Nadu. PTI SKC RC
