NCGG Concludes Training Program for Cambodian Officials

The training program focused on academic sessions and exposure visits, covering areas like public policy, governance, science and technology, infrastructure development, & digital transformation.

New Delhi: The National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) in New Delhi concluded a two-week training program on public policy and governance for 39 senior and mid-level civil servants from Cambodia. The program, held from 23 September to 4 October was organized in collaboration with the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, a PIB press release stated.

The participants, representing Cambodia’s Ministry of Economy & Finance and the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovations, held positions such as Joint Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Director, and Under Secretary.

Shri V Srinivas, Director General of NCGG, addressed the valedictory session, emphasizing the strong bond between India and Cambodia and highlighting the shared challenges and development goals of both nations. He cited India’s success stories like Aadhaar and emphasized the importance of digital transformation for inclusive governance. Mr Ith Hunly, Deputy Director of Cambodia’s Ministry of Science and Technology Innovations and head of the delegation, expressed gratitude for the program and highlighted the valuable learnings that will contribute to good governance practices in Cambodia.

The training program focused on academic sessions and exposure visits, covering areas like public policy, governance, science and technology, infrastructure development, and digital transformation. Participants presented their learnings on topics such as Cambodia’s National Science Policy, infrastructure and growth expenditure plans, and governance reforms and digital transformation.
