New Delhi: The National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCB) has taken a significant step forward in its mission of promoting innovation and growth in the cement industry with the inauguration of its new incubation centre. The NCB-IC will provide a platform for the growth of small businesses and startups in the cement sector by mentorship, training, and access to advanced laboratories, a PIB press release stated.
This initiative is expected to create new opportunities for employment and technology development in the region, while also contributing to the overall growth and development of the country. The center was launched by Joint Secretary, DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Sanjiv, in the presence of Vice-Chairman-NCB and VC & MD-Star Cement Ltd., Rajendra Chamaria.
The minister highlighted the importance of the cement sector in India’s growth and development, noting that it is a key partner for the government in achieving its vision of building a strong ecosystem for innovation, startups, and encouraging investments in the startup ecosystem of the country. He expressed confidence that the NCB-IC will emerge as a catalyst for growth in the cement industry and enable sustainable growth in the sector.
The NCB-IC is one of the initiatives under the government’s efforts to support the growth of small businesses and startups in the cement sector. The center is expected to play a key role in the development of market-ready products and services that will contribute to the overall growth and development of the cement industry.
