Nadda to replace Nabin as chief guest at BJP padyatra in Bareilly

Stay updated with ThePrint:

Bareilly (UP), Oct 31 (PTI) Union Minister J P Nadda will lead the BJP’s ‘Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao’ campaign in Bareilly on November 3, replacing party national president Nitin Nabin, whose visit has been cancelled.

BJP’s Bareilly city unit president Adhir Saxena said Nabin’s visit was cancelled at the national level and Nadda, a former BJP national president and Union Health and Family Welfare Minister, would attend the programme as the chief guest.

More than 25,000 party workers and office-bearers are expected to participate in the ‘padyatra’ under Nadda’s leadership, Saxena said.

The participants will gather at Swayamvar Barat Ghar on November 3 and proceed towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Chowk via the Banke Bihari Temple. A garland will be placed on the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji at the chowk, after which the procession will conclude at Shaheed Pankaj Arora Chowk.

The march will cover a distance of around two km, Saxena said. PTI COR NAV MDO
