Ambala, Jul 6 (PTI) Union Health Minister J P Nadda on Monday paid tributes to Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his 125th birth anniversary, saying he was an accomplished administrator, educationist and nationalist leader.
Addressing a state-level function here, Nadda said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had fulfilled the vision of Mookerjee by abrogating Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
The abrogation of Article 370 had liberated the country, particularly the people of Jammu and Kashmir, he asserted.
Nadda said the BJP continues to follow the ideals laid down by Mookerjee, who also worked for strengthening the saffron party in West Bengal.
Highlighting Mookerjee’s contribution to education, he said his father, Ashutosh Mookerjee, promoted Indian languages as Vice-Chancellor of the Calcutta University.PTI COR VSD DV DV
