Shimla, Oct 10 (PTI) Union health minister JP Nadda called on the Uttarakhand BJP workers to rally together to ensure the party’s victory in the 2027 assembly elections.

Nadda made these remarks during his visit to Kullu on Friday evening, where he held a discussion over tea (chai par charcha) with BJP workers at Sundernagar, the gateway to Mandi district, BJP leaders said on Saturday.

This message, delivered during an informal meeting, is considered significant for the Himachal BJP’s future electoral strategy and organisational preparedness.

“I was able to meet all of you under the pretext of having tea. I had only been asked to stop for a cup of tea, but I had no idea that such a large number of party workers and elected representatives would be waiting here for so long”, Nadda told the workers.

He urged party workers to set their sights on the 2027 goal right away and dedicate themselves to serving the public with full efficiency and dynamism.

The Union minister also called upon them to take the central government’s public-welfare schemes and the Narendra Modi government’s commitment to service, good governance, and the welfare of the poor to every household and every polling booth.

He emphasised the need to expose the state government’s anti-people policies and failures to the public, ensuring that the BJP forms the government with a full majority in 2027.

Nadda recalled a time when passing through Sundernagar meant getting stuck in traffic jams for up to two hours at ‘Raja Ka Bagh’ and said that vehicles traverse Bilaspur, Sundernagar, and Nerchowk via the bypass in just 15 to 20 minutes. PTI BPL KSI

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
