Muzaffarnagar (UP), Jul 5 ( PTI) A woman and her son were killed, and seven others, including four children, were injured after their e-rickshaw was hit by a speeding truck here on Saturday, police said.
Circle Officer (CO) Gajendra Pal Singh told the media that the incident occurred near Khatoli Mod in Budhana town.
According to police, the victims were travelling in an e-rickshaw when they were hit head-on by a speeding truck. After the accident, the truck driver managed to flee and left his vehicle.
The injured were immediately rushed to the district hospital where two of them — Chand Bibi (35) and her son, Ali (3), died.
