New Delhi, Apr 30 (PTI) Four smart boards were installed on Thursday at a Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) primary school in Ashok Vihar as part of an initiative aimed at strengthening digital learning facilities for students, officials said.
The installation was inaugurated by MCD Education Committee Chairman Yogesh Verma, along with Education Department Director Nikhil Tiwari, Deputy Director Neelam and school principal Vanita Bajaj, among others.
The smart boards were set up at the MCD Primary School in H-Block, Ashok Vihar Phase-1, in collaboration with a social organisation.
“This is an important step towards ensuring that children from every section of society get modern educational facilities on par with private schools,” Verma said.
He added that the smart boards would make classroom teaching more interactive and help generate greater interest among students in their studies.
“The Municipal Corporation of Delhi is continuously working to improve the standard of education through better infrastructure, timely repairs of school buildings and maintenance of basic amenities,” he said.
