MCA student allegedly dies by suicide in Greater Noida

Noida, Sep 30 (PTI) A first-year MCA student allegedly died by suicide by hanging at his rented accommodation in Greater Noida, police said on Wednesday.

The deceased, identified as Abhishek, a native of Kasganj district, had been living in Sector Alpha 2 for about a month and was pursuing his master’s in computer applications (MCA) course, the police said.

According to the police, Abhishek was depressed following two deaths in his family. His mother had also tried to counsel him, the police said.

The local Beta-2 police station received information about the incident on Tuesday and reached the spot. An inquest was conducted and the body was sent for post-mortem examination.

Police officials and a forensic science laboratory team inspected the scene, they said.

The family members of the deceased were informed and reached the spot. Further legal proceedings are underway, the police said. PTI COR KIS KSS
