Rajkot (Gujarat), Sep 19 (PTI) A 19-year-old female student allegedly ended her life by jumping from the 10th floor of a hostel at Marwadi University in the district on Saturday morning, police said.
No suicide note had been found, said an official.
“Alla Venkata Soubhagya Varshitha, the deceased, was a third semester student of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science course,” Kuvadva police station’s inspector A N Jani told PTI.
Varshitha, who hailed from Andhra Pradesh, allegedly jumped to her death at around 10 am, the university’s Deputy Registrar Varghese Nibish said.
“We have informed her family members. The process of filing an accidental death case is underway. Further investigation will be carried out once her family arrives,” inspector Jani said. PTI KVM PD KRK
