Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jul 21 (PTI) Maharashtra minister Sanjay Shirsat on Monday claimed a man with a criminal background tried to barge into his house and also argued with police personnel when they intercepted him.

Addressing a press conference, the Maharashtra minister of social justice said the incident happened between 10:30pm and 11pm on Sunday at his residence on Link Road here.

“I thought it was some drunk person creating ruckus. However, I have come to know from police that he is a person with a criminal background who left from Samta Nagar to come to my place with bad intentions. I will not say anything more till the probe is completed,” claimed Shirsat, who is also guardian minister of the district.
