Mumbai, Jun 18 (PTI) A 28-year-old man died after allegedly jumping from the terrace of a residential building in Mumbai on Thursday morning, a police official said.

Police identified the man as Jalgaon resident Pawan Sunil Patil.

Citing the preliminary probe, police said Patil had arrived in Mumbai with his girlfriend on Wednesday.

Around 7.50 am on Thursday, he allegedly went to the terrace of Akash Deep Society, a MHADA building, in the Versova area and jumped off. He crashed to the ground and died, police said.

It was not immediately clear if Patil knew anyone in the building or how he accessed the terrace.

An accidental death report has been registered at the Versova police station, and further investigation is underway, the official added. PTI ZA NR
