Rewa (MP), Aug 28 (PTI) A 54-year-old man and his four-year-old granddaughter were among three individuals killed in a collision between their two-wheeler and a motorcycle in Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa district, police said on Friday.
The deceased included Bablu Tiwari, his granddaughter Shivi, and motorcycle rider Pankaj Singh (22). Tiwari’s grandson Shakti (5) was injured.
The incident occurred near a road bend under the Gudh police station area on Thursday evening when the minor children were accompanying Tiwari after visiting Gudh for Raksha Bandha shopping, police inspector Pushpendra Yadav told PTI.
The impact of the collision threw Tiwari and the two minor siblings onto the road. Locals rushed the injured to the hospital, eyewitnesses said.
While Shivi died on the spot, Tiwari succumbed to his injuries during treatment at a hospital, Yadav said.
