Latur, Oct 10 (PTI) A hotel manager in Udgir was allegedly cheated of a gold bangle worth Rs 3 lakh by a man who took the ornament on the pretext of straightening it and then fled, a police official said on Saturday.
The incident took place around 1 pm on October 9 in the Udyog Bhavan area, the Udgir City police official said.
“Venkat Vijaykumar Bidwe, a resident of Swami Vivekanand Nagar, alleged that Yogesh Uttamrao Hande, a resident of Sindala village, took his bent gold bangle, promising to straighten it. However, he fled with the bangle. A case has been registered and further probe is underway,” he said. PTI COR BNM
