Kochi, May 14 (PTI) Malayalam actor Rini Ann George, who had earlier made allegations of misbehaviour against former Congress MLA Rahul Mamkootathil, on Thursday praised V D Satheesan after he was announced as the next CM of Kerala by the AICC.
Following George’s allegations against Mamkootathil, Satheesan took a firm stand against the Palakkad leader, who was subsequently removed from his Youth Congress post and later suspended from the party.
Though George did not file a police complaint, three other women later came forward with sexual assault allegations against Mamkootathil, who was arrested in one of the cases.
Sharing a picture with Satheesan on Instagram, George praised his rise in a strongly worded post.
She described him as someone who could not be suppressed, saying: “One who rises when you try to bring him down becomes a blaze when you try to douse him.” She added that for Satheesan, it was not a time for exile but for “coronation”.
George also wished him success in governing from the land of Sree Padmanabhaswamy (Thiruvananthapuram).
She had earlier shared a picture of Satheesan following the UDF’s victory in the Assembly elections on May 4.
