Mumbai, May 15 (PTI) IPS official Deepak Sakore, Maharashtra Minister of State Meghna Sakore-Bordikar’s husband, was on Friday promoted as a Joint Commissioner of Police in Navi Mumbai.

As many as 52 Indian Police Service officers were transferred by the state Home department.

Deepak Sakore, serving as Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) in Navi Mumbai, was promoted as a Joint Commissioner of Police, an official release said.

BJP leader Meghna Sakore Bordikar is the MoS for Public Works (Public Undertakings), Energy, Health, Women and Child Development Water Supply and Sanitation.

In other transfers, Prashant Mohite, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) zone III in Navi Mumbai, was transferred to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

2004-batch IPS officer S Jayakumar, joint CP (Administration), Mumbai, was appointed as special IG, Force-1, Maharashtra. Mohammed Suvez Haque, a 2005-batch IPS officer, will be the new Joint CP (Administration), Mumbai. PTI ZA KRK
