Pune, Apr 16 (PTI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday hailed the contribution of charitable institutions and advocated concessional building permissions for such organisations.
Speaking at the stone-laying ceremony of the Lata Asha Mangeshkar Institute of Medical Sciences at Nandoshi here, Fadnavis assured the widening of approach roads and adequate water supply in the area.
“The approach road to the hospital should be direct and widened. There is water scarcity in the area, and efforts should be made to ensure adequate supply,” he said.
Appreciating the work of the Lata Mangeshkar Medical Foundation, Fadnavis said that while charitable institutions are doing commendable work, they are required to pay premiums at par with commercial rates while seeking building permissions.
“I think we should consider granting some concessions in these premiums in the coming days,” he added. PTI SPK BNM
