Ayodhya (UP), Apr 29 (PTI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday asserted that socialist ideologue Dr Ram Manohar Lohia used to say that no one can harm India as long as Lord Ram, Lord Krishna and Lord Shiva exist, and wondered why his disciples don’t understand this.
Adityanath was in Ayodhya to hoist a flag on the pinnacle of the Shiva temple located within the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple complex.
He also performed the worship rituals of Lord Shiva and Ramlala and performed Aarti.
In a veiled attack on the Samajwadi Party, Adityanath said, “Dr Lohia used to say that as long as Shri Ram, Shri Krishna, and Shivshankar exist, no one can harm India even slightly. I do not know whether or not Lohia ji’s disciples understand this. They will not understand it. Only those people understand who have the capacity to understand. For a ‘Ramdrohi’ (traitor to Lord Ram) and ‘Shivdrohi’ (traitor to Lord Shiva), there is absolutely no place of refuge.” Referring to the Ram temple movement, Adityanath said, “In this movement, we have seen walls of castes, region and languages breaking away. We can still feel the heat even today. Whenever we go to any part of the country, be it Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, Nagaland, Mizoram, Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, tribal areas of Chhattisgarh like Bastar, the first word they say is ‘Jai Shri Ram’.” He added that he visited various remote villages during the elections in West Bengal.
“What a pleasant experience! Ram has become the medium that unites us all. He has been the medium for uniting the nation, not just today, but since the Treta Yug (era of Lord Ram),” Adityanath asserted.
The UP chief minister further said that Lord Ram connects north India with south India, Lord Krishna connects east with the west, and Lord Shiva binds every single particle, and through the 12 Jyotirlings.
Pointing to the historic Ayodhya verdict of the Supreme Court, Adityanath said that when the Supreme Court unanimously delivered its verdict regarding the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, jubilation was felt across the length and breadth of the country and throughout the world.
He said, “I can say that the day the verdict was delivered, it was the most peaceful day in India’s history, one of the happiest days. And there was absolutely no commotion (‘halchal’) anywhere at all.” “Those who previously used to threaten, frighten and mislead, warning of dire consequences for the Ram Janmabhoomi verdict — and even fielded lawyers (to oppose it), these are the very same people who sought to demolish the Ram Setu. These are the very same people who opened fire upon devotees of Lord Ram…,” Adityanath said.
He urged the audience to contribute to strengthening India’s unity and integrity through the unity of Sanatan Dharma.
“Do not confine your great historical figures within the narrow boundaries of caste. Be wary of those who are engaged in divisive activities. They are committing the very same sin that was perpetrated during the medieval era by those who sought to divide the nation and fracture the unity of society. This sin of division is nothing short of treason. And never allow this sin to be committed,” Adityanath asserted. PTI NAV HIG HIG
