Shimla, May 9 (PTI) Light rain lashed isolated places in the state, and the Shimla MeT office on Saturday issued an orange warning of thunderstorm with lightning and gusty winds (speed 40-50 kmph) at isolated places in four districts of Kangra, Kullu, Mandi and Shimla on May 12 and 13.

It also predicted rain and snow in the low, middle and high hills from May 11 as a fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayan Region from May 10.

In the past 24 hours, since Friday evening, Sarahan received 25.7 mm of rain, followed by Khadrala (14 mm), Rohru (10 mm), Rampur (3.6 mm), and Chopal (2 mm). Kalpa was lashed by thunderstorms and lightning.

Keylong was the coldest at night, recording a low of 5.2 degrees Celsius, while Una was the hottest during the day, with a high of 34 degrees Celsius. PTI BPL MPL MPL
