LG visits GMC Jammu to inquire about health of Udhampur accident victims

Jammu, Apr 22 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday visited the Government Medical College (GMC) here to assess the condition of two critically injured victims of the recent road accident in Udhampur.

At least 21 people were killed and 51 others injured when an overcrowded passenger bus plunged nearly 100 metres down a hillside in Ramnagar area of Udhampur district on April 20.

An official spokesman said a team of doctors briefed Sinha on the health condition of the injured and the specialized treatment protocols being followed.

Hospital authorities informed the LG that Hans Raj and Lakhwinder Singh are under the constant supervision of senior healthcare professionals and receiving the highest standard of clinical attention.

Sinha directed the hospital administration to ensure the best possible medical care for their speedy recovery, the spokesman said. PTI TAS TAS KVK KVK
