Bengaluru, Sep 23 (PTI) The Karnataka legislature session was extended by a day as the discussion on drought could not be completed on Wednesday as scheduled earlier.
The proceedings of the three-day special discussion on drought and Kasturirangan report on conserving Western Ghats were supposed to conclude on Wednesday.
Deputy Speaker Mankal Vaidya announced the extension of the session by a day, saying the decision was arrived at following Parliamentary Affairs Minister Krishna Byre Gowda’s request to the Chair.
Vaidya said the Leader of the Opposition R Ashoka too concurred with the request and hence the session will take place on Thursday as well.
