Latehar, Aug 28 (PTI) A local court in Jharkhand has sentenced a man to life imprisonment for killing his elder brother over a land dispute three years ago.
The court of Principal District and Sessions Judge Shesh Nath Singh also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on the convict and ordered that failing to pay the amount would lead to an additional one year of imprisonment.
Public Prosecutor Shiv Shankar Ram said James Saras (32) of Meram Champa village in Latehar district had hacked his brother to death at their home on April 2, 2023, during an argument over a land dispute.
