Mumbai, Aug 21 (PTI) NCP (SP) leader Jayant Patil demanded a fresh examination for the Bombay High Court clerk and stenographer recruitment, alleging that technical glitches at multiple test centres had affected candidates’ performance.
Patil, in a post on X, said that unresponsive computer interfaces and faulty keyboards during the August 16 typing exam had lowered scores and unfairly rendered many applicants ineligible.
He claimed candidates also complained that their computer systems were not replaced promptly even after they reported technical problems. In some cases, they were allegedly not given additional time to compensate for the time lost because of the glitches.
“Many deserving candidates lost valuable examination time due to these technical problems. As a result, their marks were affected, and some candidates were declared ineligible,” Patil said.
He said such complaints were not restricted to examination centres in Sangli and Kolhapur, but were reported from centres across Maharashtra.
The NCP (SP) leader said he had written to the high court seeking a fresh typing test at properly equipped and technically reliable examination centres.
He also called for measures to ensure that candidates are not disadvantaged because of technical failures during the recruitment process. PTI MR ARU
