Pratapgarh (UP), May 9 (PTI) An inmate of the Pratapgarh district jail was seriously injured after a ceiling fan fell on him while he was sleeping in his barrack, officials said on Saturday. The inmate is undergoing treatment at SRN Hospital in Prayagraj, they said.
District Jail Superintendent Rishabh Dwivedi said Rajendra Prajapati alias Chithru, a resident of Hathgawan police station area in the Pratapgarh district, was lodged in barrack number two in connection with a theft case. He was injured when a ceiling fan fell on him while he was asleep on Friday night.
