Hamirpur (HP), Jul 1 (PTI) Initiatives such as Khelo India, expansion of sports infrastructure, and greater international exposure have transformed the country’s sports ecosystem and created new opportunities for young athletes, BJP leader Anurag Thakur has said.
The Hamirpur MP was speaking at an awareness run organised here on Tuesday evening to mark the International Olympic Week.
Addressing the gathering, Thakur said, “A healthy body is the foundation of a healthy society and a strong nation. If we want the next generation to be free from addiction and stay disciplined, confident, and energetic, sports and regular physical activity must become an integral part of daily life.” Thakur said the awareness run was dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle, social harmony, unity, and the Fit India movement.
