CHENNAI (Reuters) – India’s Zomato on Friday reported a surprise profit for the second quarter as consumers ordered more from restaurants and its online grocery stores.
The company’s net profit came in at 360 million rupees ($4.32 million) for the three months ended Sept. 30, compared with a net loss of 2.51 billion rupees a year earlier.
Analysts were expecting a loss of 201.7 million rupees, as per LSEG data.
