New Delhi, Jun 17 (PTI) A contingent of the Indian Army will take part in a multinational military exercise — ‘Khaan Quest’ — in Mongolia from June 20 to July 3, officials said on Wednesday.

The two-week exercise brings together forces from across the world to enhance interoperability and collaboration in peace support operations under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter, they said.

The Indian Army shared the update in a post on X.

“An Indian Army contingent will participate in the 23rd edition of the Multinational Joint Military Exercise #KhaanQuest 2026, being conducted at Five Hills Training Area, Ulaanbaatar, #Mongolia from 20 June to 03 July 2026,” it said.

Exercise Khaan Quest reaffirms India’s commitment to global peacekeeping and strengthens operational readiness, professional exchange, mutual trust and camaraderie among the participating nations, the Army said.

The exercise first started as a bilateral event between the US and Mongolian armed forces in 2003. Subsequently, from the year 2006 onwards, it graduated to a multinational peacekeeping exercise. PTI KND KVK KVK
