New Delhi: India and Egypt have reaffirmed their commitment to bolstering their strategic partnership during the 13th round of Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) held Thursday in New Delhi. The FOC was co-chaired by Shri Arun Kumar Chatterjee, Secretary (CPV & OIA), from the Indian side and Ambassador Ahmed Shaheen, Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs, from the Egyptian side, a PIB release revealed.
The discussions covered the full spectrum of India-Egypt bilateral relations, emphasizing a shared dedication to enhancing cooperation across various sectors. Political, economic, and socio-cultural domains were identified as key areas for further engagement, the release said. Additionally, both sides exchanged perspectives on significant regional and global issues of mutual interest.
The FOC underscored the strong historical and cultural ties between India and Egypt, which have served as the bedrock for their warm and friendly relations. The two nations also collaborate actively on various multilateral platforms. The discussions held in New Delhi are expected to further strengthen the multifaceted partnership between India and Egypt.
