New Delhi: An IIT-Kanpur study released in 2016 highlighted the alarming levels of pollution in Delhi in a comprehensive study on the air pollution and greenhouse gases in the city.

The report was submitted to the Delhi government and Delhi Pollution Control Committee.

Among the many threats, the study stated that particulate pollution was the main concern in the capital. In fact, during the summer and winter months, the levels of PM10 and PM2.5 were 4-7 times higher than the national air quality standards.
