Gurugram, Jul 3 (PTI) The District Town Planner (Enforcement) on Friday resumed its anti-encroachment and sealing drive in DLF Phase-3’s S Block in compliance with High Court directions, officials said.
During the drive, the department sealed an illegal PG accommodation, removed unauthorised structures from stilt parking areas and cleared encroachments from the right of way outside around 30 houses.
The campaign began at the residence of actor Chandrachur Singh, where tiles installed on public land outside the house were removed. The actor cooperated with the drive, the officials said.
The enforcement team also removed unauthorised gardens, guard rooms, iron grilles, platforms, flowerpots and other permanent and temporary structures built on government land.
District Town Planner (Enforcement) Amit Madholia said similar action had been carried out on June 18, 19 and 20, after which occupants of illegal PG accommodations were given around 10 days to vacate.
He said the drive would continue against unauthorised occupation of stilt parking areas, building plan violations, right-of-way encroachments and other illegal activities in residential areas. A status report on the action taken will be submitted to the High Court during the next hearing on July 6. PTI COR APL APL
